Price and Price employs two highly experienced paralegals. Sheila Posey and Lisa Buckaloo have a combined total of over 50 years of legal experience with Price & Price. Paralegals are available when the firm’s attorneys are in litigation or otherwise engaged in the representation of one client and another client’s case needs attention. Each case has a paralegal assigned so that our clients have continuous access to an informed individual knowledgeable about his or her case. This system promotes open client communication and allows for more efficient, economically-feasible representation by the attorneys at Price & Price.
Sheila Posey, Paralegal, BCP-TBLS
Sheila is a board-certified paralegal, who has been certified in the specialty area of Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for more than seventeen years. She is an active member of the State Bar of Texas, the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas, and the College of the State Bar of Texas. The Texas Board of Legal Specialization offers specialty certification for paralegals in seven areas. The paralegal certification process closely parallels the attorney certification process which includes a thorough assessment of the paralegal’s experience under the supervision of a licensed Texas attorney, the paralegal’s record of continuing legal education, and the paralegal’s responsibilities, experience and duties in the specialty area. There are only 138 paralegals in the state of Texas who are board-certified in Family Law. She actively participates in the Paralegal Division and is currently serving as the Chair for the Division’s Ad Hoc E-Newsletter Committee for the third consecutive year. In 2015, the Paralegal Division recognized her with its “Outstanding Committee Chair Award.” Our clients have the advantage of Sheila’s 35 years of legal experience, special knowledge of Family Law, and innovative use of technology. Sheila is an experienced and specialized professional; a vital liaison between attorney and client; and we are proud to offer her vast experience in Family Law for the benefit of our clients.
